I used to be a biochemist. Test tubes and stuff. You could almost say the whole enchilada but I wouldn’t advise it. Then my girlfriend – now my wife – observed that I could write. So I became a journalist and stayed one for 30 years. Enjoyed it too. Everyone should be one at least once. Seriously.
But I always worked for the serious rags. Malaysian Business. The Far Eastern Economic Review. The Asian Wall Street Journal. Singapore Business Times. Not a humorous bone in any of them. Not one.
Speakeasy was, and is, the solution. I recommend it. You should too.
